I enjoyed reading this for many reasons. First of all I like how you have included information about your own personal reception of news and what organisations you use and trust. I also like how you have suggested both the positives and negatives in use of technology to access news. Although it was quite difficult to read due to the lack of separate paragraphs, what you're saying, to me, makes perfect sense and I agree with most of the points you make. Well done
Thanks for this Kieran, this was an interesting read although try and separate your ideas into paragraphs as this will help you make your points clearer.
You have a good grasp of some of the issues around news reliability and analyse your own consumption habits clearly. I would have liked to have read what you had learned from your research into the news habits of others in the class and whether you think there is a demographic shift occurring.
You are right to be sceptical about what you read on social media and, as you say, the ability to engage with and debate global issues is perhaps one that our ancestors would have had to attend meetings to do or maybe there would be one family member who they would debate with: we can now do this online and, in that way at least, we can claim that technology is making the media more democratic.
Nice one Kieran on this blog, I like the way you mention your own opinions on how you gain your news and whether or not you trust these sources. I also like the fact that you say about the positives and negatives regarding technology and access to the news. You also backed up these points which is a good thing to support your own opinions. The points made about social media I agree with in terms of the reliability of the news on their. However, could you mention why people believe this news? Although, this was a successful piece of work from my perspective, next time separate sections so it is easier for your viewers to read but apart from that well done Kieran
